Jones, who struck the bar in the first half against Manchester United at Turf Moor, was buoyed by the performance against the 2012/13 Premier League champions, but echoed the importance of picking up points at the same time to bolster the club’s survival hopes.
“That point will build confidence for the next game,” Jones said. “It gets us up and running and breeds confidence and belief, especially against such a big club after a difficult start.
