Beckham and Sir Alex Ferguson pay tribute to former Claret’s boss
Mr Brown (85), who managed Burnley between January 1976 and June 1977 and was the one-time youth development officer at Manchester United, died on October 30th.
Mr Brown oversaw the emergence of many future United stars including David Beckham and Ryan Giggs, who both sent floral tributes to Rosehill Baptist Church, where the funeral was held.
Mr Brown lived for many years at Pasturegate in Burnley but moved to Healey Lodge Nursing Home in the town several years ago. His wife of many years Constance died two years ago.
