Hide AdLindsey said: "The sheep had their stomachs and legs ripped into so we believe it was one dog or a few of them. It was a scene of total carnage with blood everywhere.
"There are trainer prints all over the field so it was obvious someone was trying to chase it."
A vet was able to save one of the lambs which is now being cared for by the couple.
The couple, who had been on the farm for 10 years, have lost around £1,000 worth of stock.

Hide AdLindsey added: "It could, have been worse if this had happened next week as this is when the lambing season gets into full swing."
Burnley Police have now launched an appeal to trace the dog and its owner. They have also issued a warning for all dog owners to keep their pets under control.
Anyone with information is asked to ring the police on 101.
