Anti insomnia drugs killed man
An inquest at Burnley Coroner’s Court this week was held into the death of Mr Jaroslaw Kalinowski (35) who was found dead at home in Boundary Street on April 4th.
A post-mortem examination carried out by pathologist Dr Richard Prescott found the cause of death to be zopiclone and zolpidem toxicity.

Hide AdA letter from Mr Kalinowski’s GP confirmed he had not been prescribed the drugs, which are used to treat insomnia.
Mr Kalinowski, who lived alone, had not been seen for five days when work colleagues contacted the police.
East Lancashire Coroner Mr Richard Taylor recorded a conclusion of a drug-related death.
